Assess the substrate
We check the slab or subfloor for flatness, moisture and movement before choosing the installation method.

Natural stone, porcelain, large-format tile and hardwood, delivered as part of our remodels and new homes. Floors run through every room, so we plan levels, transitions and stairs together rather than room by room, and coordinate the installation with licensed flooring and tile specialists.
A floor is only as good as what is under it. Flat, dry, solid substrates are what let large tiles and long boards look perfect for years.

Every project is scoped to the property, but the sequence that protects the result stays the same.
We check the slab or subfloor for flatness, moisture and movement before choosing the installation method.
Tile sizes, joint lines, board direction and transitions are set out so cuts land well and rooms connect.
Leveling, crack isolation, moisture mitigation or subfloor repair, as the floor requires.
The floor is installed, then protected while the rest of the work is completed.

It depends on the room and the look you want. Natural stone and porcelain are durable and suit kitchens, baths and entries; engineered hardwood brings warmth to living spaces and is more stable than solid wood over concrete slabs. Coastal and slab-on-grade homes need moisture testing before wood goes down.
Large tiles cannot bend to follow dips and humps, so an uneven substrate causes lippage, where tile edges sit at different heights, and can lead to cracking. Leveling the floor before installation is what gives large tiles a seamless look.
Yes, usually as engineered hardwood with the right moisture testing and moisture barrier. Solid hardwood over concrete needs more preparation and is not suited to every slab.
Yes. Marble floors and stair treads are beautiful and durable, but marble is softer than porcelain and will show wear paths and etching over time. A honed finish is more forgiving and less slippery than a high polish.
